Creating a Personalized Feeling Dictionary
In this workshop, Danielle walks you through the exact steps you’ll need to create your own personalized feelings dictionary, adapted specifically for autistic and alexithymic nervous systems.

The Workshop
You’ll learn why feelings dictionaries can be helpful, what emotions and emotional regulation are, how emotion and memory are related, how to use a traditional feelings dictionary, and what top-down vs bottom-up methods are when it comes to understanding our feelings.
Danielle will also guide you through specific examples of each feeling and how to recognize it in your thoughts. Also in the recording are questions and advice for making your personalized feelings dictionary work best for you, so that you remember to come back to it frequently.
Personalized Feelings Dictionary Tracker
The tracker, available in Google Sheets format as well as Excel, is designed to help you track specific details around your feelings. Aspects tracked with your feelings include the situation, thoughts, and behaviours. There is an example included to help you get started, as well as an appendix with examples of sensations and thoughts associated with each emotion.
Not comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets? You can still create your own tracker and use the spreadsheet and workshop as an example on how to track your feelings.

This pre-recorded workshop will make you feel more confident using language around and recognizing emotions, while giving you helpful knowledge about your emotions.
