I’ve had a couple of emails asking me about the best parenting podcasts for families with autism, ADHD, and other neurodiversity.

There are so many amazing parenting podcasts out there! I couldn’t possibly make an extensive list. These are just some parenting podcasts that I’ve listened to personally and liked.

Podcasts from these parenting experts are based in respectful, positive parenting approaches, and recognize neurodiversity. I think they’re all fantastic, so they’re not in any particular order. Enjoy!

Best Parenting Podcast No. 1: Janet Lansbury’s Unruffled

best parenting podcasts janet lansbury unruffledJanet Lansbury is very well-known as the author of two books on positive parenting: Elevating Child Care: A Guide to Respectful Parenting, and No Bad Kids: Toddler Discipline Without Shame.

But did you know she also has a podcast? It’s called Unruffled! It’s all about respectful parenting issues, and how to be the parent you want to be. She provides lots of examples from listener letters with questions about handling toddler meltdowns, sibling fighting, and the parenting journey, so it’s chock-full of good ideas.

Best Parenting Podcast No. 3: The Nurtured Heart Approach®

best parenting podcasts nurtured heart approachTransforming the Difficult Child: The Nurtured Heart Approach by Howard Glasser is the book that SAVED me when my youngest child (since diagnosed with ADHD combined type) was a toddler.

We were all struggling so much as a family. The Explosive Child (above) helped, but it was The Nurtured Heart Approach that turned us all from an exhausted, sniping disaster back into a loving, cooperative, happy family

So I don’t have to tell you how excited I was to find out that they have a podcast! I recommend Glasser’s book to every struggling parent I meet, and I highly recommend this podcast, too.
