I’ve had a couple of emails asking me about the best parenting podcasts for families with autism, ADHD, and other neurodiversity.

There are so many amazing parenting podcasts out there! I couldn’t possibly make an extensive list. These are just some parenting podcasts that I’ve listened to personally and liked.

Podcasts from these parenting experts are based in respectful, positive parenting approaches and recognize neurodiversity. I think they’re all fantastic, so they’re not in any particular order. Enjoy!

Best Parenting Podcast No. 2: The Lives in the Balance Podcast

In his podcast, Dr. Ross Green provides help to parents of kids with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. This is the place to go for expert advice! This podcast was originally named after his popular Collaborative & Proactive Solutions model, but was renamed after his non-profit, Lives in the Balance. 

Dr. Greene is the creator of the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions Model! He also wrote one of my favorite books, The Explosive Child.

The Learn with Dr. Emily Podcast Logo.Dr. Emily has been helping parents and educators support neurodivergent learners for over 20 years. 

Learn with Dr. Emily has truly covered such a range of topics and brought in many expert guests. Educators will find a wide variety of topics such as classroom management, executive function skills, regulation, and more that will help you create a safe, neuro-affirming space for your students. For parents, Dr. Emily covers topics including understanding your child’s neurodivergence, supporting their learning, practicing impactful lifelong skills, and more! 

Best Parenting Podcast No. 4: Tilt Parenting: Raising Differently Wired Kids with Debbie Reber

Tilt is a hugely popular podcast with over 200 episodes now! Debbie Reber is the author of Differently Wired: Raising an Exceptional Child in a Conventional World. She’s also a parenting activist and speaker. On Tilt, she works “to offer resources, connection, and community so parents can find choice, confidence, and peace and their kids and families can thrive.” I love it!

 

Best Parenting Podcast No. 5: ADHD Essentials with Brendan Mahan

Brendan Mahan is an ADHD/Executive Function consultant, coach, and speaker who has ADHD himself. He’s created over 150 episodes of ADHD Essentials. He interviews experts, offers advice to parents, and basically helps you learn more about managing ADHD and getting it to work for you. Have questions about screen-time, creating self-awareness, or schedules for ADHD? He has answers!

  2. Parents should check out Not Your Average Autism Mom Podcast. There are over 100 episodes and it’s on all the podcast platforms and Amazon Music.
    She talks every day autism parenting stuff every Thursday.
