Why Collaborative, Gentle Parenting Works for Neurodivergent Families

Now Offering Collaborative Parent Coaching for Neurodivergent Families

At Neurodiverging, we believe in positive, gentle, collaborative parenting techniques, and have seen them work wonders for families with all kinds of children, teens, and young adults.

Collaborative parenting is a style of parenting where parents do not compel children to behave by means of punishment or control, but rather use connection, communication, and other democratic methods to make decisions together as a family.

We use a combination of brain-based parenting techniques, including trauma-informed care practices and work from Howard Glasser, Ross Greene, Mona Delahooke, and more to support your unique family needs.

We enjoy working with any parent who would like:

  • support in developing a parenting style and a toolbox that align with your values.
  • resources to better understand your parenting goals and your child’s specific needs.
  • support in understanding your child’s communication, cognitive, sensory, and relationship styles.
  • to create better communication patterns to improve your family dynamic.
  • to better understand and address any behavioral concerns you’re struggling with at home.
  • ways to support your own calm and clarity so you can be the confident parent you want to be.
